These are consent resolutions. Many of these decisions have been written on in the media. You can use their names and complaint issue to find media articles if you wish.

| WENIGER | Teacher embarrassed kids, made fun of them, made the learning environment a scary place to be. From the decision: “Student E suffered from anxiety, a fact known to Weniger. Weniger would become exaspterated when Student E fidgeted with their fingers or a small object as a selfsoothing mechanism. Student E reported being afraid that they would be humiliated in class based on Weniger’s treatment of other students. As a result, Student E had frequent panic attacks and often cried in Weniger’s class. Student E reported being afraid to ask to use the washroom in the event that Weniger would humiliate Student E or make fun of Student E in front of the class. Student E subsequently had a mental health crisis, a contributing factor to which was Student E’s experience in Weniger’s classroom.” “Weniger sometimes laughed and repeated student comments when students did not understand what he was teaching them, causing one student to report feeling embarrassed. On other occasions, Weniger would repeat a student’s mistake out loud until people laughed.” |

| SCHWARZ | LSS teacher, not updating a student’s IEP and forcing them to stay in at recess, causing a physical injury From the decision: “During the 2021-2022 school year, the following events occurred while Schwarz was employed as a teacher in a learning support program at School A, working with a small group of upper elementary school students (“Class A”): a. Schwarz failed to properly follow procedures for students’ individual education plans (“IEPs”): i. IEPs must be reviewed annually to reflect individualized goals, adaptations, modifications, services and measures for tracking progress. Teachers must offer parents an opportunity to consult about their child’s IEP. ii. Schwarz failed to plan appropriately for the fall 2021 IEP deadlines and only updated the students’ pictures and changed the name of the responsible teacher to her own name, before submitting the IEPs to the School principal. Schwarz did not make changes to the substance of her students’ IEPs and did not appropriately consult with parents regarding the IEPs.” |
