Gathering evidence is KEY. It starts looooong before you even file your human rights complaint.
It is fundamental if you have any hope in winning your case or getting a fair settlement. Period. I cannot stress enough how important this is.
Without evidence you may have your case dismissed because you don’t have evidence that will “bring your allegations out of the realm of conjecture”.
You will need your evidence for the document disclosure stage.
They are likely to provide you with documents that are strategically aligned to how they want to chess play your file. Intimidate you? Give you nothing? etc.
TIP*** When you look at your evidence, it is not only what is there, it is also what is missing. If the school district doesn’t have evidence that they are providing your child with an equitable education, that is going to be very helpful for you.
